"No return to business", Pearson warns at Aifa annual dinner

The relationship between financial institutions and governments has changed forever, Ian Pearson MP warned last night (19 November).

The economic secretary to the Treasury told advisers gathered at the Association of Independent Financial Advisers (Aifa) annual dinner in London that there could be no return to business as usual following the credit crunch and part nationalisation of banks.

He said the chancellor Alistair Darling had made it clear the industry would have to return to the issue of regulation.
